30A - Final Reflection

Making multiple lists of different opportunities in the beginning of this course definitley stood out to me as the most formative because I chose one opportunity and turned it into a business concept. The experience I'll remember years later is interviewing a variety of people about my opportunity and gaining knowledge through their advice and opinions. My most joyous experience was doing the elevator pitches because I got to see myself in action talking about my business service and I would challenge myself with how much I could say in a limited amount of time. The experience I am most proud of myself for accomplishing is overall listening to my classmates feedback and applying that into my innovation to make it the best it could be.

Now that we have reached the end of the semester, I do see myself way more as an entrepreneur than I ever did before because I had never experienced coming up with a business idea and working on it for 4 months. I have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset because I have interviewed people, I have changed my ideas and listened to people's opinions in order to make my business service succeed.

For students who are going to journey down this path in the future, I recommend to keep an open mind towards people's feedback and to not worry if you make a mistake or feel intimidated by someone reading your post because most people have never done an assignment like that either. To perform best in this course do your work ahead of time because they're available in advance and triple check you have submitted the correct link to your post and you have also declared that you completed the assigment. At least 3 different times throughuut the semester I made a mistake on either one and I never got full credit for my work even though I did it. Overall, keep a positive mindset no matter your grade because the experiences in this class can actually help you in the future or in another class, unlike most courses we take in college!
Happy Holidays :)

  1. Ciara,

It was a pleasure reading all your opinions on entrepreneurship and see how you have grown and made your product into a real concept. I agree with you that other people's feedback are a good way to better yourself and make your concept idea better and better. Challenging yourself is another good way to better yourself and make your product as good as possible.

  2. Hi Ciara,
I think it is so interesting that you liked elevator pitches the most. I personally hate them with a passion and it is my fear to ever give one ever. I agree that being mindful on submissions is important and something to pass on to other students. The photo you included is very cozy and I wish I was toasting a marshmallow right now. Peace and blessings, happy holidays, keep being a shining star. See you on the flip side!
