14A - Halfway Reflection
1. In order to keep up with the requirements of this course, my organization and timing skills have strongly improved. At the beginning of every week, I look through my agenda for the week and pick out hours from certain days where I solely concentrate on watching lectures and taking notes or completing assignments.
2. Towards the beginning of the semester, there was a moment where I felt like giving up because I accidentally submitted the incorrect URLs for two assignments, which really overwhelmed me. Having no credit for an assignment also means I couldn’t get credit for submitting any peer reviews for those two assignments. After speaking to my TA, looking at all the other assignments we had left, and reminding myself that it was just a class, I pulled myself together. Out of all the courses I’m taking this semester, I’ve had a hard time adjusting to submitting assignments by a link to a blog post and understanding how to comment on other peers’ posts. I do feel like I’ve developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months because I have realized that as important as our grades may be, your final grade does not define your potential. I take every assignment seriously and getting a few points off of my final grade has only motivated me more to make sure I go the extra mile with every assignment I do and that I submit them correctly. I’ve become motivated to complete all the extra credit assignment opportunities in order to make up for the points I have lost. I’ve learned that there is a positive in every negative and getting a few points off my grade has only motivated me to work harder.
3. Three tips I would offer next semester’s student is
1) Be as organized as possible in order to reach your goals!!! I highly suggest planning out your week and knowing you have certain days out of the week that you will focus on entrepreneurship and you will get the job done.
2) Remember after a rainstorm comes a rainbow, so don’t let one assignment that didn’t go well for you bring you down. Keep going!!! There will be many more assignments and some extra credit opportunities that will make up for it.
3) Be open-minded towards your classmate's ideas and opinions because that’s one of the best ways to learn! Someone will always catch something you didn’t and it’s going to help make you the best version of an entrepreneur you can be!
