16A - What's Your Secret Sauce?
5
things that make me different according to me:
1. I am dedicated
with every single task that is brought my way due to prioritizing the goals I
desire to reach. I have a constant drive to accomplish more than what is
needed.
2. I find
peace in being organized and I go out of my way in helping my friends and
family members organize their rooms. If my room is unorganized there is no
chance I can focus on school, so I either leave the room or pick it up.
3. I’m a responsible
girl who lives off of a “to-do” list on my phone because if it isn’t written
down then it won’t get done. I strongly admire the feeling of accomplishment
and therefore I make sure my daily tasks are completed.
4. My
leadership skills definitely make me who I am. I find joy and compassion in
helping others through a process that they haven’t experienced yet, but I have.
I have the ability to speak in a large room of people or a large group, and with
different leadership positions within high school and college, I know this will
follow me to my future career as a corporate attorney.
5. My time
management skills impress me much of the time because I find myself extremely
involved within UF, doing well in my classes, working a part-time job, having a
social-life, cooking, making time to go back home to visit my family, and having
general living responsibilities.
Interview
the five people who know you the best.
5 things that make me different
according to 5 people
1. Close
friend from back home / the business school
My key takeaway from this interview was
that I’m very dependable and people can count on me easily. People can easily
come to me with questions and if I don’t know something I’ll make sure to find
someone who does in order to help that person.
2. Close
friend from high school
In this interview, leadership stood out
to me the most because he thought of me as a role-model which is a rewarding
feeling to have. Hard work does pay off when people seek you as an example or
for advice.
3. Close
friend from parish back home
My key takeaway from this interview was
my passion for everything I’m involved with or any task I’m given. I’m
passionate for what I believe in and I show that through everything I
accomplish.
4. Roommate 1
This interview made me realize the
light I bring to other people’s lives especially when they’re feeling down or
stressed. I feel that I’m an encouraging person when people need the
encouragement and positivity the most.
5. Roommate 2
My key takeaway from this interview was
how my organization skills play a major role in my life and how it positively
effects getting all my tasks done by a certain deadline. My organization correlates
with my involvement on campus and how I manage to do a lot in a short period of
time.
Reflect
on the differences.
When I compare
how I see myself to how others see me, I see a great amount of similarity
relating my dedication, leadership, and organization skills. I do think my
interviewees are correct about me and did a fascinating job in describing what
was unique about me! If there was one correction I’d have to make to my list it
would be that I bring joy and positivity to those around me. Many times I forget
how I help my friends with just my personality instead of actually giving them
advice or organizing something for them.
hello ciara,
ReplyDeletei thoroughly enjoyed your skills and passions, especially how you are able to accomplish the tasks that you set on your phone or wherever. additionally, i appreciated your focus on the passion you bring to others around you, as this is a valuable trait wherever you go.
Ciara,
ReplyDeleteI, too, found a great deal of similarities between what those close to me thought about me and how I viewed myself. On top of that, leadership and dedication were also traits very similar to the ones that I described in my own post. I think these are things that most people possess in some ways or another, but the ways that they make us unique is through the subtle differences in those traits that every person has.
