2. Communication skills & being able to easily speak to people
3. Entreprenurship mindset from this class

6. Passion for helping make the lives of college students easier
7. Being social media savvy and being able to promote events
8. Connections to students my age who I know have similar motivations as me
9. Dedication to making a difference and won't stop until change is made
10. Being creative for making posters and flyers to promote raffles for apartment complexes
Valuable, Rare, Inimitable, & Non-Substitutable
All 10 of my resources were valuable becuase they all positively affect my plans and how I will reach my goals differently.
Some resources that I found rare were being able to easily speak to people because it is known that the #1 fear most people have is public speaking, so being able to have a successful easy-going conversation with someone is rare. I found that having connections to big apartment complexes near UF campus rare becuse most students are just residents where they live, they come and go and don't pay much attention to the staff of the complex. Lastly, having a passion for making college students lives easier is rare to me because most students tend to only think about themselves and how they're going to accomplish something, usually other people don't come into thought.
I found that having an entrepreneural mindset is the most inimitable resource on this list becuase it is extremely difficult to copy someone based on the knowledge that person has. Knowledge is one of our strongest powers as humans and it is earned, it cannot be copied or given. The second most inimitable resource I found on my list was having the dedication to make a difference in the lives of college students and not stopping until change has begun. I found this inimitable because even though some students may want to hop on board and help me accomplish my goals, it is nearly impossible to copy dedication because I believe dedication comes from within. It all depends on how bad you want to accomplish something.
Some resources I found substitutable were being creative for making posters and flyers to promote raffles for apartment complexes and being social media savvy and being able to promote events.
My top resource is my dedication towards working hard until change has begun because it is very easy to become discouraged and not fuflill your promises to your customers. Without dedication, there won't be communication and moves won't be made.
Ciara,
ReplyDeleteMe and you both have very similar venture unfair advantages. For example me and you both said leadership skills and ability to talk to people. The reason why I believe ability to talk to people is one of the more important advantages is because in being an entrepreneur you need to get your name out to other people so they know about you idea/concept. Also being a leader is crucial in being an entrepreneur because you are usually your own boss when you are an entrepreneur, so you are going to have to lead other people
Ciara,
ReplyDeleteDedication is something that I would consider one of my top personal traits as well. Anything that I take on, I try to fully dedicate myself to and work hard towards it as a result. Aside from that, I was surprised to see that we had a mostly different list of 10 things from one another; however, I could find things that were still very relatable as I read through your post. For example, while I did not list the skills that this class has taught me in my post, I consider it something that would benefit me if I were to carry out my venture.
