28A - Your Exit Strategy

1. The exit strategy I plan to make is to sell the business in a few years to someone who also has the same passion as me and who was a college student who found use in my service.

2. I've selected this specific exit strategy because I know I will continue to make an impact on college students if the service continues even if I don't own it anymore because I will be busy with my career.  I don't think of my business as my main job or career in life but would definitley want to come back to UF one day to visit and see my service still in action.

3. I think my exit strategy has not influenced the other decisions I've made in my concept yet because since my business is brand new and still in the works, I have not thought about how I will actually hand off my business to someone else.

  1. dear ciara,
i thoroughly enjoyed your take on the possible exit strategy that you had planned for the next portion of your business adventure. By focusing on your career you alerted me to think that it would be more stable to sell the business and focus on more goals related to financial security.

  2. Ciara,

Your exit strategy and the strategy in the first post that I read hold many similarities. Like the first person, you make logical sense to me in the fact that while you are closer to the issue at hand and you stand to gain from your service doing well, you will remain a part of the venture. Once it is something that you have less of a personal reason to care about, you will not want to devote as much time and effort towards it. Your exit plan is one that I believe would work very well in this scenario.
